GAM Red Rods

The Red Rods develop visual discrimination of length, while height, color and width remain constant. Ten solid wooden rods increasing in length in equal units from 10 cm to 1 meter.

It gives the child a muscular impression of length. gives the child a visual impression of the succession of length. Indirectly prepares the child for lineas measurement. Prepares the child for the exercises with the number rods. 

Control of error: If the rods are badly placed, ask the child to feel down the left side to make sure that the ends are straight. The child can then recognize any mistakes easily.
